Solutions

Business problems we solve with software.

Written for owners, founders, CTOs and operations leaders. If one of these sounds familiar, it is usually a good place to start a conversation.

01

Replacing fragmented business systems

When the business runs across spreadsheets, inboxes and five partial tools.

The situation

Information lives in several places, nobody fully trusts any of them, and staff spend hours reconciling. Growth makes it worse, because every new person learns a different workaround.

What we build
  • A single system of record for clients, work and money
  • Integrations with the tools worth keeping
  • Data migrated and cleaned from the old sources
What changes
  • One place to look
  • Reporting you can trust
  • New staff productive sooner

02

Building industry-specific SaaS platforms

When you understand an industry’s problem better than anyone selling software to it.

The situation

Founders and established businesses often see the gap first: an industry still running on generic tools. Turning that insight into a product needs architecture, billing and operations, not just screens.

What we build
  • Multi-tenant platform architecture
  • Subscriptions, onboarding and customer admin
  • White-labelling and custom domains where they make sense
What changes
  • A product ready for its first hundred customers
  • A platform you can operate with a small team

03

Modernising legacy applications

When the system the business relies on is the one nobody wants to touch.

The situation

The software works, mostly. But it is built on ageing technology, changes are slow and risky, and knowledge sits with one or two people.

What we build
  • Documentation of what the system actually does
  • A staged migration onto maintainable architecture
  • Verified data migration and parallel runs
What changes
  • Lower operational risk
  • Changes measured in days, not months

04

Connecting disconnected systems

When good tools don’t talk to each other.

The situation

Each system does its job, but people copy data between them by hand. Errors creep in, and nobody notices until a customer or an auditor does.

What we build
  • Integrations with accounting, payments, CRM and identity systems
  • Reconciliation and error handling
  • APIs for partners and internal tools
What changes
  • Data entered once
  • Fewer errors, and failures that are visible

05

Automating operational workflows

When skilled people spend their days on repeatable admin.

The situation

Reminders, recurring jobs, document generation and status updates are done manually, so they are done inconsistently, and they compete with work that needs judgement.

What we build
  • Automated recurring work and reminders
  • Document generation and e-signature flows
  • Exception queues for the cases that need a person
What changes
  • Hours back every week
  • Consistent processes and a clear audit trail

06

Creating sophisticated internal software

When your process is your advantage, and off-the-shelf software would flatten it.

The situation

Some organisations work in ways generic products can’t represent: unusual approvals, complex pricing, regulated steps. Bending a generic tool costs more every year.

What we build
  • Custom business applications built around your process
  • Roles, permissions and approvals that match your organisation
  • Reporting on your own data
What changes
  • Software that fits instead of constrains
  • A system that grows with the organisation

07

Scaling existing software products

When the product works, but growth is starting to hurt.

The situation

Pages slow down, background jobs back up, deployments feel risky and the original architecture is showing its limits.

What we build
  • Performance profiling and targeted refactoring
  • Queueing, caching and database improvements
  • Infrastructure and deployment upgrades
What changes
  • Headroom for the next stage of growth
  • Releases without anxiety
08An honest question

Do you need custom software at all?

Often you don’t. We would rather tell you that early.

Read: how to decide

Off-the-shelf is usually right when…
The process is standard for your industry, a mature product already covers most of it, and the cost of adapting your process is lower than the cost of building.
Custom software is worth it when…
The process is a genuine advantage, several tools are being stitched together by hand, compliance or data residency rules out the alternatives, or the software is itself the product you sell.
Often the answer is both
Keep the products that work, and build the integrations or the missing piece around them. That is frequently the smallest project with the biggest return.
